Here's What I'm Worst At

Invoicing my clients. I have several gigs where I'm supposed to be asking for money weekly and the most I can manage is once a month. Clients have actually said to me, "Erin, we really need to pay you now." I'm listening to rap songs about money to keep my motivation going. Rap songs about money are hard to find. So are ones about shooting folks.

I don't get it. I assume you're not independently wealthy, so how come you're not trying to get paid. I'm poor, if you wanna just kick it down to me. Do you have to hound them or something? That's lame that you even have to ask. They should just offer you your scrilla.

I'm not independently wealthy but I'm not hurting for cash.

Working corporate & freelance non-stop since college will do that to you.

The downside is I've never travelled Europe, followed a band, gone on an extended road trip or anything else that a bunch of my peers have done.

Maybe when I'm old and can't enjoy it anymore...

The business of freelancing SUCKS.

I have learned over much time to invoice immediately after a job...and get this - I send thank you letters!

Oh yeah, baybee...but it took me 15 years to get to this point.

It sucks, but just do it.
